Swim Meet Helpful Tips

Home Meets

Swimmers need to arrive no later than 30 minutes before the warm up time so we can line them up and be ready. For home meets we will be sitting on the right side of the pool (when you look at it coming in) so the sun is not in our faces. Please make sure to bring your chairs as all the pool chairs will be put up as well as the normal water bottles, sunscreen, and snacks. I would also bring your canopies just in case the sun starts to peek through.

Away Meets

Swimmers need to arrive no later than 30 minutes before the warm up time so we can line them up and be ready. Always make sure to bring towels, chairs, canopies, water bottles, sunscreen, and snacks. As the visiting team, we never know what we'll be walking into.

Help your swimmer be organized

During the meet, swimmers will be grouped by their age, and tent parents will assist in ensuring that they reach the ready benches on time for their events, provided they remain within their age group's designated area. Leaving this area may cause them to miss their scheduled event, which is a common occurrence in every meet. Therefore, it is advisable to encourage your swimmer to stay within their age group's area.

Heat Sheets

Similar to an agenda for the swim meet, the heat sheet will be sent to you via email on the night before the event. The sheet includes a chronological list of meet events, with swimmers arranged in different heats for each event. The events are categorized by age group, beginning with girls followed by boys.
